If you are looking for great tips for tomorrow’s New Year party, I can really recommend a visit to Martha Stewart, which as usual offers lots of ideas for both preparations, festive decorations, food and activities around the New Year celebrations. Naturally I was very fond of the countdown champagne, party invitations and menu cards with die-cut glass, the delicate festoons that can be made of plain cardboard and the idea of dressing a serving tray with gold wrapping paper.

Peer and I spent yesterday watching the snowfall here in Sweden.

Oh, how I love this time of year… nothing like sipping hot chocolate under a warm blanket and listening to Christmas music by the tree…. and the pine scented Mmmmmmmm….. just lovely!

Today we take a trip to Östersund, the only big city in Jämtlan……. and with snow white rooftops there is full speed and lots of activities in Östersund, at Christmas.

Here is a selection of everything that happens:

On Christmas Eve, you could witnessed Santa parachute jumps in candy rain, stores offer between-day sale, the is the Östersund show “Look twice”, an exhibition at “Färgfabriken” or you have the possibility to enjoy “Arctic Cat Cup” which is Europe’s largest snowmobile race.

How were your weekend? We had a fabulous one….. I got a “Wii Fit” for Christmas, and it’s fun fun fun (and the exercise is probably good for me, as I ate way too much the last couple of days)

This morning I have been sipping coffee and a orange smoothie.
